Hornette Volleyball Postseason Sites Announced
The IHSA had announced the Class 2A Volleyball Sub-Sectionals for the postseason. While the Hornettes do not yet know where they will go for Regionals, they know that it will be either Carlinville or Dupo. The Hornettes will try to advance to the Sectional which will be hosted at NCHS. The Super-Sectional this season will be in Vandalia.
The Nashville Sectional has been divided into two Sub-Sectionals. In Sub-Sectional A, the two Regional sites are Anna-Jonesboro and Sparta. The teams in Sub-Sectional A are: Anna-Jonesboro, Trico, Chester, DuQuoin, Johnston City, Marissa (Coop), Pinckneyville, Red Bud, Sesser-Valier (Coop), and Vienna.
The two Regional sites in Sub-Sectional B are Dupo and Carlinville. The teams in Sub-Sectional B are: Alton Marquette, Carlinville, Carlyle, Dupo, Gillespie, Hillsboro, Litchfield, Nashville, Piasa (Southwestern), Staunton, and Wesclin.
The four Regional winners in each Sub-Sectional will move on to play in the Nashville Sectional. Regional play will begin the Week of October 23. The seeds for the Sub-Sectionals will be posted on October 5, and the Regional brackets will be posted on October 6. All of the information for the postseason can be found on ihsa.org.
