September 24

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy preformed a welfare check on West Third Street in Nashville, Illinois.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a theft which occurred on Peach Tree Road and Sassafras Road in Centralia, Illinois.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Ashley.

September 23

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a residential burglar alarm in rural Centralia.

Teneva R. Johnston, 26 of Ashley, was driving a 2016 Chrysler when her vehicle left the roadway, striking a ditch on Nebraska Road. Vehicle was drivable and no injuries were reported.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Hoyleton Fire Department responded to Hoyleton for a report of an electrical box smoking.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Nashville Fire Department, and the Washington County Ambulance responded to Interstate 64 near the 45 mile marker for a report of a one car rollover. Illinois State Police responded and handled the investigation.

September 22

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a civil matter at residence in rural Nashville.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Richard D. Simmons, 36 from Nashville for a Washington County warrant.

September 21

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to Richview Road in Nashville, Illinois in reference to suspicious activity.

A Washington County Deputy responded to Oakdale for a civil matter.

Washington County Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence in rural Nashville, IL for a report of a domestic battery. Charles R. Phillips, 47, of Nashville, IL was arrested for domestic battery, unlawful restraint, unlawful possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a residence in Oakdale, IL for a civil matter.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle accident on State Route 127 near New Minden. A vehicle driven by Jason T. Etcheson, 28, of Mulberry Grove, IL failed to reduce speed and struck a tractor driven by James B. Witte, 72, of Nashville, IL. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to rural Nashville reference a civil matter.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Interstate 64 for a one car vehicle crash roll-over and involving injury. Julie M. Priester, 34, of Granite City, IL was identified as the driver, who was fatigued, fell asleep while driving, and was transported to the Washington County Hospital. Vincent A. Plannette, 34, of Granite City, IL was identified as the passenger in the vehicle, who was also transported to the hospital for possible injuries. Julie was issued two citations for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle.

September 20

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to East Croan Street in Irvington, Illinois in reference to domestic trouble.

A Washington County deputy took a report of criminal damage to property in Covington.

A Washington County Deputy arrested George F. Shanks, 47 of Fayetteville, IL on Washington County Warrants for Leaving the scene of an Accident and Failure to Report an Accident.

September 19

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy checked an abandoned vehicle in rural DuBois.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Hermenegildo Reyes-Garcia, 33, of St. Louis, MO for driving while license suspended. Hermenegildo was also cited for speeding and operating an uninsured motor-vehicle.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to rural Okawville for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

The Washington County Sheriffs’ Office received a report of a Suspicious Person on Posen Rd. near Nashville, IL.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the area of Elkton Rd. for a report of livestock in the roadway.

September 18

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Marquise S. Adams, 24 of Centralia for driving while license suspended. Marquise was also cited for driving without lights when required.
