Esther E. Campbell, 98, of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Washington County Hospital Extended Care in Nashville.

Esther was born April 11, 1919, the daughter of Harry P. and Dora Eva (Holtslaw) Brough in Sandoval. She married Arthur D. Campbell on October 3, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo., and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2017.

Esther is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon Kay Chwascinski of Nashville; treasured grandchildren, Scott Chwascinski and wife Kim of Benton, Jason Campbell and wife Kim of Florida, Traci Redman of Nashville; precious great-grandchildren, Ashley Melvin of Herrin, Justi Jackson of Coulterville, Riley Redman and Lilly Redman of Nashville, Clayton, Hayden, Carson, and Jackson Campbell of Florida, and Brendan Chwascinski of Benton; cherished great-great-grandchildren, Brantley and Cayden Melvin and Noble Shubert.

Along with her parents, and her husband of 74 years, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by a son, Dale Campbell; her brother, Donald Brough, and her sister, Beatrice West.

Esther was a former member of St. Peter U.C.C. She also held membership with the ERM Society, Women’s Fellowship Club and AIM Club. Esther was employed as a seamstress for many years at Mrs. Elaines in Centralia. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed sharing her tasty recipes. She was well known for her chicken and dumplings. Esther truly loved time spent with family and friends.

Celebration of life services for Esther will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor John Pawloski officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visiting hours at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. till time of service on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
