Shirley LaBusier

Shirley A. LaBusier, nee Miller, 81, of Aviston, formerly of Centreville, born Wednesday, May 27, 1936, in Centreville, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Aviston Countryside Manor in Aviston.

Shirley was the co-owner of Photo Enterprises, a wedding studio in Swansea, for over 20 years and a Teller at Union and Boatman’s Bank. She was a member of Edgemont Bible Church, Fairview Heights, co-founder and past President of Nashville Public Library, founder of Friends of Ashley Library, and wrote the column “Book Talk” for the Ashley News and other various newspapers.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, John Labusier, Sr.; Parents, Edward and Annabelle nee Traiteur, Miller; three Brothers, Clarence Miller, Edward Miller and Russell Miller; three Sisters-in-Law, June Miller, Laura Dell Miller and Betty Miller.

Surviving are her Children, John B. (Tina) Labusier, Jr. of Nashville and Suzanne (David) Slovak of Okawville; Sister, Carolyn (Fred) Jones of Louisville, Ky.; and Granddaughter, Sara Labusier of Chicago.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 am Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Doug White officiating. Private burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
