Ethel C. Marquard

Mrs. Ethel Marquard of Okawville, departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 5:10 A.M. She was 91.

Ethel was born in Addieville, on September 26, 1926 the daughter of John W. and Tillie (nee Juenger) Meyer. She was united in marriage to Omer Marquard on December 3, 1944; he preceded her in death on November 26, 1980.

She was a member of the St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy.

Left to mourn her passing are her four children, Kenneth Marquard and wife Mary Anne of Carbondale, Lois Luther and husband Tom of Okawville, Donna Hackstadt and husband Lloyd of Addieville and Denise Frederking and husband Bill of Addieville; a brother, Delbert Meyer and wife Shirley of Stone Church; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Meyer of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Glen “Cookie” Marquard; a sister, Shirley McCoy; four brothers, Jerome, Robert, John and Calvin Meyer; and sisters–in-law and brothers-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held from the St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Art Eichhorn officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Monday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Tuesday from 7:30 A.M. until 9 A.M. then at the church on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Salvator Cemetery Fund or the St. Salvator Building Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
