NCHS Music Boosters Masquerade And Halloween Dance
NCHS Music Boosters Masquerade And Halloween Dance
On Saturday, October 21 the NCHS Music BOO!sters held their annual Masquerade and Halloween Dance at the DuBois KC Hall.
Live music was provided by the Beaucoup Bottom Band (Hornet music alumni) and the evening’s MC was our very own music teacher, Mr. Steve Browne.
A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to Houston CE King High School to help replace band instruments that were damaged during the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey earlier this year.
There was an awesome turnout for this year’s event and both the student and adult costume contests were the best ever!
Thanks so much to the NCHS community for your wonderful ongoing support of all the many band and choral contests, field competitions, jazz groups, drum corp, various concerts and music activities at Nashville High.
The NCHS Marching Hornets are finishing up a another busy and successful competion season and the NCHS Concert Choir has some exciting news to share as well. They competed for and were recently contacted that they were chosen to perform at the State of Illinois Music Education Conference in Peoria in January, 2018.
Currently our student musicians are rehearsing for “SHREK THE MUSICAL”
It will be performed six nights: November 3,4,5 and 10,11,12 at NCHS auditorium.
Over 80 students are involved in this production which is an adaptation of the popular Shrek movies! Showtimes are 7 pm Fri/Sat and 5 pm on Sundays.
