Irene Damazyn Celebrates 80th Birthday

Irene Damazyn celebrated her 80th birthday on October 29 at Ryan’s Steakhouse in Mount Vernon, with family and friends.

Irene is the owner of Irene’s Custom Sewing in Dubois, and works at Friendship Manor in Nashville.

Irene’s is very active in helping with the Polish Fest by cooking, organizing activities, and making home made quilts.

She also helps out with the DuBois picnic by making gift baskets for raffles. Irene’s family includes her husband the late David Damazyn, daughters and son-in-laws Veronica and Robert Forys of Breese, Margaret Steury of DuBois, Phyllis Rews and Larry Winters of Ina, and a son Marvin Damazyn of DuBois, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Irene’s hobbies include spending time with family and friends, gardening, canning, preparing meals and baking for family and friends, embroidery work and bingo.

She is an active member of St. Charles Church in Dubois.
