Mrs. Karen Lunte of Nashville, departed this life at the Memorial East Hospital in Shiloh, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 7:08 PM. She had attained the age of 70 years, 5 months and 3 days.
Mrs. Lunte was born on May 28, 1947 in Vandalia, the daughter of Ray and Helen “Joy” (Lilly) Broadwater. She was united in marriage to Harlin Lunte on June 14, 1969 at the First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2011.
Karen was a teacher for Nashville District 49 in Nashville, for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Ruby Red Hat Jewels, Washington County Retired Teachers Association and the St. Paul United Church of Christ Church in Nashville. Karen enjoyed traveling and watching her granddaughter play softball and spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Beth Lunte McFeron of Nashville; her son, Brad Lunte of Centralia; six grandchildren, Mackenzie and Tanner McFeron, Edric, William, Delilah and Margaret Lunte; one great granddaughter, Addison Lunte; other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Sunday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Monday from 7:30 A.M. until 9 A.M. then at the church on Monday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the NCHS Sports Programs and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
