Titans Finish Third At Christ Our Rock 7th Grade Tournament

The Trinity St. John/Immanuel Lutheran Titans were active this past week in the Christ Our Rock 7th Grade Tournament.  The first match up was against New Horizon on November 6th.  The team had a strong game especially on rebounding to win by a score of 35-16.  Jack Kroeger led the scoring with 14 points, Dillon Teter with seven, John Blumhorst and Evan Perry with six points each, and Parker Renken putting up two points.

The second game of the tournament on November 8 was against Selmaville.  A nail biting game as the both teams battled to the end.   Selmaville came up beating the Titans by a score of 36-32.  Leading the scoring for the team was Kendall Vallett with 14 points, Teter five, Blumhorst and E. Perry both with four points each.

The third game of the tournament on November 11 was against Trinity Centralia.  The Titans played a strong game beating Trinity by a score of 42-29.  Leading the scoring for the team was Owen Dunn with 12 points, Kroeger with nine, Vallett and Teter with seven points each, E. Perry four, and Blumhorst three points.

The Titans played on November 11 against New Horizon for the 3rd/4th place matchup.  A much closer match up than the first meeting earlier in the tournament, but the Titans were able to pull ahead to win the game with a score of 27-20.  Leading scorer for the Titans was Kroeger with 10, Vallett, Blumhorst, and Dunn all adding four each, E. Perry with three and Teter two points.  The Titans took home the 3rd place trophy from the Christ Our Rock 7th Grade Tournament.

TSJ/ILS Titans were also active this past week in a regular season match ups against St. Bruno on November 7.   The B team played very well and were able to outscore St. Bruno by a score of 25-6.  Leading the scoring for the Titans were Blumhorst and Kroeger with six each, Dunn, Renken, and Zach Brinkman all with four, and Connor Davis with one point.   The A Team had a challenging game against St. Bruno battling to the end only to fall short losing the game 35-30. Leading the scoring for the team was Dominic Perry and Vallett with six points each, Levi Traub, Teter and Dunn with three points each, and Kroeger and E. Perry rounding out the scoring with two each.

The Titans also played on November 10 at the Nashville Community High School Feeder School Shootout.  The Titans were paired against St. Ann’s for the shootout.   The team struggled to score in the first half of the match but were able to come back at the end but still fell short losing by a score of 33-25.  Leading scorer for the Titans was Teter with eight, Vallett, E. Perry, Blumhorst all putting in six, Traub and Kroeger both adding two each and D. Perry chipping in one.

This next week the Titans will face St. Mary’s Mt. Vernon and New Horizon.
