The TSJ/ILS Lady Titans split their two games this past week as they defeated Ashley but fell to Tamaroa/St. Bruno. The Lady Titans record this season is 5-2.
The TSJ/ILS Lady Titans hosted Tamaroa/St. Bruno on November 7. The Lady Titans came out of the gate quick in the first half, but struggled in the second half as Tamaroa/St. Bruno took the 30-27 win.
TSJ/ILS took the early lead after one quarter of play as they led 11-10 at the end of one. In the second, the Lady Titans extended their lead as they outscored Tamaroa/St. Bruno 10-4 to take a 21-14 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Lady Titans struggled to get anything going, as they scored six total points in the second half. Tamaroa/St. Bruno however chipped away at the Lady Titans’ lead in the third and completed the comeback in the fourth to take the three point win.
Megan Rennegarbe led the way with 15 points in the loss. Raelyn Obermeier and Halle Rueter each finished with two points, while Kris May and Cheyenne Boester finished with two points apiece.
The Lady Titans were back in action on November 9, as they traveled to take on Ashley. TSJ/ILS used a dominant first quarter to put the game away early as they defeated Ashley 51-13.
The Lady Titans came out on fire in the win, as they outscored Ashley 19-1 in the first quarter of play. The Lady Titans would then extend their lead before half, as they outscored Ashley 8-4 in the second to take a 27-5 halftime advantage. In the third, the game got even more out of hand as the Lady Titans outscored Ashley 16-2 to take a 43-7 lead into the fourth. In the fourth TSJ/ILS cruised to the easy win.
Rennegarbe led the way with 20 points in the win, and was joined in double figures by Boester who finished with 10 points. Rueter scored nine points for TSJ/ILS followed by Obermeier with four points. May, Hanna Niedbalsk, Mallory Bening, and Keeghan Renth each finished with two points in the win.
