Hoyleton American Legion Welcomes Guests

Hoyleton American Legion Post 887 Adjutant Phil Jones and post members welcomed London Zapp and District 22 American Legion Commander Glenn Gindler at a special meeting November 7.

Zapp, son of Cory and Angie Zapp of Hoyleton, attended 2017 Legion Boys State at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, in June of 2017.

He thanked the Hoyleton Post for sponsoring his week at Boys State, and shared some of his experience at the event.

London is now a senior at Nashville High School.

Gindler, Commander of Troy, Post 708 of the American Legion and also Commander of Legion District 22 in southern Illinois, talked with Post 887 members about current Legion affairs and future options for Hoyleton Post 887.
