Alwardt Scholarship Awarded To Trevor Meier

Nashville Community High School and The Nashville Savings Bank are proud to announce that Trevor Meier is the Class of 2017 recipient of the Leonard Alwardt Industrial Technology Memorial Scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior in memory of a very special educator who served Nashville Community High School.

Leonard Alwardt was an industrial technology instructor at N.C.H.S. from 1972 until his death in May of 1999.

This scholarship endeavors to recognize, and to provide financial assistance, to students of outstanding character and scholarship with a demonstrated interested in pursuing a career linked to industrial technology.

Trevor was selected as representative of the Nashville High School Class of 2017, to receive the annual Leonard Alwardt Memorial Scholarship. This annual award is sponsored by the Nashville Savings Bank.

Trevor Meier is enrolled as a freshman at University of Southern Indiana and is majoring in Engineering.

Trevor is the son of Cory and Shelby Meier of Nashville.

While in high school, Trevor belonged to Golf, Basketball, and Baseball Team. He was the Class President for two years and a member of the FCA.

Trevor also received IHSA Scholastic Award, The Southern Illinoisan Scholar Athlete Award, Positeen Award, and was on the Honor Roll and belonged to the National Honor Society. Trevor expressed his application for the scholarship award that honors Mr. Alwardt.
