God Sent Forth His Son To Redeem
God Sent Forth His Son To Redeem

Just as children have no ability to choose their parents, we have no ability to choose our heavenly Father. Listen how God the Father rescues us from the curse of the Law and brings us into the everlasting Kingdom of His Son. Saint Paul writes,
“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
When the appointed time for His arrival had come, God loved the world so much that He sent His most precious gift into the world, His beloved Son Jesus Christ. It is through His Son Jesus that we have been redeemed from the curse of the Law, which tells us to love God and our neighbor perfectly. Now if we are truly honest with God and ourselves we know that we have sinned in some thought, word or deed. The punishment for that sin was laid on Jesus who suffered and died on the cross for those very sins. Those who look to Jesus will be saved (John 3:16).
What a great gift we have received from God!
He adopts us as His own children and we know this only because He has granted us the Spirit of His Son into our hearts.
So, even our act of believing in God is a free gift of God through His Son Jesus. Through faith we know that we have a heavenly Father who listens to our cries for mercy, like a little child calling out, “Papa, Father!”
By faith we are children of the heavenly Father and Christ is our brother. Which means we have been received into the household of God and with it all the blessings of life here in time and forever in eternity.
Praying that you and your family have a Christ-filled Christmas and that your New Year is filled with the knowledge that God loves you and grants you salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior from sin.
Peace be with you always.
