The Saints of St. Ann picked up a win this week as they defeated Opdyke-Belle Rive 39-30 on December 7. The Saints trailed most of the game, but dominated the fourth quarter on their way to a win.
Opdyke-Belle Rive took the early lead in the game, as they led 12-10 after the first quarter. Opdyke-Belle Rive got a big boost from Kayden McGee who scored 10 of the 12 points for Opdyke-Belle Rive in the first quarter.
In the middle quarters, St. Ann matched Opdyke-Belle Rive point for point, but did not cut into the Opdyke-Belle Rive lead and trailed 24-22 with one quarter to play. In the fourth, St. Ann took control. The Saints got seven points from Tommy Herzog and six points from Adam Anderson in the fourth quarter as they outscored Opdyke-Belle Rive 17-6 to grab the 39-30 comeback win.
The Saints were led by Herzog who scored 11 points and pulled down 18 rebounds in the win. Evan Kujawa finished with ten points, followed by Adam Anderson with nine points. Kaden Linkey scored six points, and Harrison Zgonina scored three points in the win.
