Sheriff’s Report – December 20, 2017

December 17

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy took a vehicle crash report that occurred on December 16, 2017 on E. Second St. near the intersection of Main St. in New Minden. A vehicle owned by Brooke Rhodes of Okawville was parked when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. The unknown vehicle left the scene.

December 16

Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one vehicle traffic crash on State Rt. 15 near Liberty Church Rd. A vehicle driven by Kaylee M. Spangler, 23 of Alton swerved to avoid striking another vehicle. Kaylee’s vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. No injuries were reported.

December 15

Jessica L. Armer, Kuehl, 28 of Okawville was arrested by the Washington County sheriff’s Office for a Washington County warrant.

Artie L. Collins, 43, of Thornton, AR was arrested on an outstanding Washington County arrest warrant by a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Shelby W. Smith, 38, of Okawville, IL was arrested on an outstanding Washington County arrest warrant by a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Justin M. Reinkensmeier, 32, of Nashville, IL was arrested on an outstanding Washington County and Clinton County arrest warrant by a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy.

December 14

Washington County Sheriff Deputies responded to rural Ashley, IL for a report of a two vehicle car accident. Barbara J. Viviano, 70, of O’Fallon, IL was identified as the driver at fault. Juan Carlos Guardian-Valencia, 23, of Ashley, IL was identified as the driver of the other vehicle. Barbara Vivian and her passenger, Mary E. Thorman, 68, of Belleville, IL were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Barbara was cited for failure to yield at an intersection. Juan was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle.

Washington County Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence in rural Centralia, IL for a report of domestic trouble.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Irvington, Illinois for a criminal damage to property complaint.

December 13

A Washington County Deputy stopped a suspicious vehicle in Ashley. Susan L Lemmons was arrested on a Wayne County Warrant.

Washington County Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence in rural Richview, IL for a report of domestic trouble.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to an one vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 51 south of Richview. A vehicle driven by Irma J. Kramm, 80, of Ashley struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Illinois State Police with a two vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate 64 at the 50 mm.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle crash that occurred on State Route 15 near Beaucoup Township Road. A vehicle driven by a juvenile, of Ashley, IL failed to reduce speed and struck the back of a vehicle driven by Darrell R. Malick, 60, of Ashley, IL while it was stopped due to maintenance on the roadway. No injuries were reported.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to South Third Street in Irvington in reference to domestic trouble.

December 11

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two vehicle traffic crash on Darmstadt Rd. near County Highway 12. A vehicle operated by Brance D. Hurst, 35 of

Okawville was stopped, partially on the roadway. A vehicle driven by Scott Shubert, 46 of Coulterville struck the rear of Brance’s vehicle. A passenger of Brance’s vehicle,

Heather L. Myers, 33 of Okawville was transported to the hospital by Washington County Ambulance for injuries. Brance was cited for improper parking on a roadway.
