The Jr. Hornettes picked up their sixteenth win of the season as they defeated TSJ/ILS 43-30 on December 19. The JV team defeated TSJ/ILS 26-12 and their record is now 17-3. Nashville has a couple weeks off before their next game as they are not back in action until January 4, when they travel to take on Trico.
The Jr. Hornettes dominated the action early as they led 19-6 after the first quarter of play. In the second Nashville extended their lead over TSJ/ILS and held a 27-13 lead at the break. In the third quarter, each team was even as both squads scored seven points in the frame. In the fourth, TSJ/ILS outscored Nashville 10-9 but the Jr. Hornettes easily took the 43-30 win.
Alyssa Cole led Nashville with 17 points in the win. Daphne Kollbaum added eight points, followed by Ryan Stiegman with seven points. Daci Finke finished with five points in the win, while Emme Paszkiewicz finished with three points. Annie Ahlers scored two points in the win, and Baylie Newman finished with one point for Nashville.
