Arthur F. Quirin

Arthur F. Quirin, 81, of Nashville, passed away at 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.
He was born on October 14, 1936 in rural Mascoutah, the son of Leroy and Irene Petrie Quirin. He married Betty Luedloff on October 28, 1961 in Clayton, Mo., and she survives in Nashville.
Also left to mourn his passing are two daughters, Lisa (Larry) Johnson of Carlyle and Bonnie (Philip) Buescher of Freeburg; a brother; Earl (Mary) Quirin of Belleville; three sisters, Edna Quirin of Millstadt and her special friend Melvin Schaller, Carol Taake of Belleville and Arlene (Len) Scaturro of Millstadt; six grandchildren, Mandy (Tom) Kerwin, Kyle (Ashley) Johnson, Katelyn and Drew Buescher, Brent and Alex Johnson; three great grandchildren, Aiden and Hattie Kerwin and Hunter Johnson; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Buescher; two brother-in-laws, Alvin Taake and Kenneth Luedloff.
Art” was a farmer in the Nashville area most of his life and worked for Nashville Township for many years. He previously drove a truck for Harre Hatchery and Moeller Brothers Trucking. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, Washington County Farm Bureau and Addieville Community Club. Art loved John Deere tractors, gardening and growing tomatoes. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville with Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday and again from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville and one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of the donors choice.
