Pastor Bill Groennert lead Bible Study, held at The Original Springs Hotel, on Wednesday.
Rev. John Ferdinand Walther Saleska, 87, whom God adopted as his own beloved child at Baptism, now rests with Jesus, where he is waiting with all of us for the Resurrection that God promised him in Christ. Services of hope and comfort for those who grieve were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mequon, WI on Tuesday September 19th. John’s Dad was Pastor at St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy from 1930 – 1943. His sister, Lois graduated from Okawville High School in 1944. She was a classmate of Opal Jasper Ruehl, they had remained friends. John and wife, Sallie were in Venedy this past summer for St. Salvator’s 175th Anniversary Service where his son Tim was a guest speaker.
Friends paid their respects to the Esther Palek family at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Nashville on Wednesday morning with funeral services at 11:30am at St. Paul’s with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Esther was the mother of Ann Leadendecker of Venedy.

Remember, the only limits you have are on your credit cards.

The 14 day subfreezing stretch ended on Sunday when temperature climbed above 32 degrees.

Steve and Gina Droege attended the St. Louis Blues – New Jersey Devils hockey game at Scottrade Center Tuesday evening where Carter Hutton helped the Blues beat the Devils in overtime, 3 -2.

Gina Droege attended a Baby Shower for her niece, Caitie Fahrner, at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Richmond Heights on Saturday morning. It was a great time with family and friends celebrating the coming arrival of a sweet baby girl.
