St. Ann Girls Basketball Finish Regular Season

The St. Ann girls basketball team finished out the regular season with a win over Willow Grove on January 4. St. Ann then began Regional play against All-Saints Breese on January 9. If the Lady Saints were to defeat All-Saints Breese, they would face TSJ/ILS on January 11. All the Regional game are played at Trinity Lutheran School in Hoyleton.
The Lady Saints dominated their final game of the regular season as they easily defeated Willow Grove 46-7. St. Ann scored early and often as they took a 14-3 lead after the first quarter of play and never looked back.
St. Ann outscored Willow Grove 14-2 in the second to take a 28-5 lead into halftime.
After the break it was more of the same, as St. Ann put the game away for good with a great third quarter. St. Ann outscored Willow Grove 16-0 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach. In the fourth, St. Ann would cruise to a 46-7 win.
Hazel Konkel led the way with 16 points. Emma Van Hise finished with eight points, followed by Talanie Kozuszek and Colleen Jahnke who scored six points apiece. Tailer Pelczynski finished with four points. Ally Johannes, Reese Varel, and Ruby Konkel rounded out the scoring with two points.
