Washington County Sheriff’s Report – January 10, 2018

January 8

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to rural Hoyleton, IL for a report of a single vehicle accident. Driver of the vehicle was identified as Michael L. Abernathy, 47, of Hoffman, IL.
Michael’s vehicle struck a guard rail when his vehicle lost control, due to a slick and icy bridge. There were no injuries reported from the accident.

January 7

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to New Minden, IL for a custody dispute.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an abandoned vehicle in rural Nashville.

January 6

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Perry County Line Road for a report of domestic trouble.
A Washington County deputy responded to a report of suspicious activity near Hoyleton.

January 5

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a residence in Ashley, IL for suspicious activity.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Illinois State Police on a traffic crash that occurred on Interstate 64 near mile marker 47.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to Okawville for a motorist assist.

January 4

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Phyllis L. Hernandez, 28, of Dubois, IL for Driving While License Suspended. Phyllis was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Ryan W. Stratton was arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies on a Department of Corrections arrest warrant.
Jeramie D. Oakley, 38 of Johnston City, was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Criminal Trespass to a Residence.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon C. Szopinski, 35 of Richview, IL on a Washington County warrant.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported a two vehicle accident on County Hwy 6 near Schwering School Rd. Kenny J. Mueller, 18 of Addieville, IL was traveling east on County Hwy 6 and struck a vehicle driven by Ricky L. Moeller, 52 of Addieville, IL. No injuries reported. Kenny J. Mueller was cited for Improper Lane Usage.
