Stop The Presses!
Boys Scouts Hold Auction
Assisting in the event are area auctioneers, who donate their time for the event, like Jim Lehde, calling the auction shown from the elevated platform at right. The scouts also volunteered at the auction, cleaning the fairground auction barn for the year, and selling concessions at the event.
On the morning of Saturday, January 13, the Washington County Fairgrounds was the site of the annual Boy Scout Consignment Auction. Being sold here are two presses, one for reloading ammunition, the other for making sausage. The auction takes consignments and donations from the community to help support Boy Scout Troop 127 and Cub Scout Pack 127 through their year.
Scouts were busy at the annual Boy Scout Consignment Auction, held at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday morning, January 13. The scouts were helping to display items, cleaning up, and of course, huddling in the concessions area for warmth (and to sell concessions, naturally). Adult leaders laughed at the idea of warmth on that cold January morning, saying it was pretty chilly in the concession area too. The Scouts shown here include, FROM LEFT, Brent Harris, Aden Hill, Jacob Segelhorst, Logan Roesener, Wyatt Herrmann, Sean Abernathy, Jr., and Cole Herrmann. NOT PICTURED, Jayden Williams, Steven Galant, Sam Perry and Cory Schwartzkopf.
