Helen M. Woker Cantrill Admire, 95, of Greenville, passed away at 1:53 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on October 1, 1922 in Greenville, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Bass Woker. She married Hubert Cantrill on December 7, 1940 in Greenville and he passed away in 1962.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Larry Dean and James Hubert Cantrill; her twin sister, Hazel Reichert; and two brothers, Ted Woker, Jr. and Ed Woker.
Left to mourn her passing are two daughters, Sandy Alfeldt of Greenville and Cindy (Phil) Shy of New Minden; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Cantrill of Greenville; nine grandchildren, Jason (DeeDee) Alfeldt, Tim (Jodie) Alfeldt, Andy (Kim) Alfeldt, Jon (Carissa) Rudd, Sunny, Bobby and Shannon Butler, Branzley Cantrill and Danielle Vice; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Helen formerly worked as a wallpaper hanger and later the secretary at the First Baptist Church in Greenville. She was the first Deputy County Clerk and later the Bond County Clerk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenville and the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, playing pinochle, making quilts and going to twin conventions with her twin sister Hazel. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27 at the First Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. David Bilyeau officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Greenville.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bond County Home Health and Hospice or the Bond County Senior Center. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
