The Queen of Hearts is being sponsored by the Hoyleton Community Club! Ticket sales began January 21 and will continue to be sold until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 28 at Kretzer’s Bar and Grill in Hoyleton.
Drawing will be at 4:00 p.m. this Sunday and every Sunday thereafter at Kretzer’s. Rules are available at Kretzer’s and are posted on the Hoyleton Community Club’s Facebook page.
Annual dues for your membership to the Community Club are now due. Dues are $10.00 per person. As a member of the Club you are entitled to discounted rental rates for the premises. Dues for calendar year 2018 are to be paid by March 1, 2018. Please mail your dues to Jim Muenter, Treasurer, 25781 Sycamore Road, Centralia, IL 62801.
The Hoyleton Community Club will be hosting the 50th Annual Hoyleton Hofbraufest to be held July 6, 7, 8, 2018. Dustin Unverfehrt and Patricia Rensing are serving as Co-Chairpersons for this special event. Contact will be made soon with the stand chairpersons as we coordinate this milestone celebration. January 28 is the Fourth Sunday after Epiphany.
Zion Evangelical UCC will gather at 9:00 am. for Children’s Sunday School and 10:00 am for Worship.
Pastor Causer’s sermon is titled “Do You Want to be a Prophet, Priest or King?”
Scriptures are from Deuteronomy 18: 15-20 and Mark 1: 21-28.
Just as the Jews didn’t recognize who Jesus is, neither do they recognize an unclean spirit when one is in their midst. Judaism had lost its’ ability to speak with authority and to act with power. Jesus gives witness to the initiative of God to act in a new way.
