Two Trespass At NCHS, Tell Police They Were There To Meet Girls
By Alex Haglund
Early in the school day on Friday, January 26, Nashville Community High School had two individuals who were not students trespass onto the school campus.
The two trespassers were both males and were both 17 years old. They were first noticed by student Sophie Heck, who they spoke to before entering the school.
After the two headed towards the school, Heck got in touch with her aunt, Kata Linkey, the district’s Assistant Athletic Director, who contacted Principal Mark Begando.
Begando caught up with the two intruders and the Nashville Police were contacted as well.
The two stated that they were at NCHS to try to meet girls and they, Georgia natives, were in the area to visit colleges. When contacted by police, their parents verified the story.
Police also searched the two individuals, and their vehicle and discovered nothing of concern.
Nashville Police Chief Brian Fletcher said that since both of the individuals were minors and their story checked out, charges were not ultimately pressed.
The two were escorted to the Interstate by the police and were asked to leave town.
