Hornettes Postseason Schedule Set

The postseason schedule is set for the Nashville Hornettes. The IHSA Class 2A brackets were released on Friday January 26. The Hornettes received the #2 seed in their Sub-Sectional. Mater Dei received the #1 seed in the sub-sectional. Sesser-Valier received the #3 seed, and Pinckneyville received the #4 seed. The full list of seedings for each sub-sectional in Class 2A and Class 1A can be found at IHSA.org. Nashville will host this year’s Regional.
The teams in the Nashville Regional are: Nashville, Sesser-Valier, Carlyle, Belleville Althoff, and Wesclin. Wesclin and Althoff will play on February 5 at 7 p.m. The winner of Althoff and Wesclin will face off against Nashville, who is the top seed in the Regional. That game will take place on February 6 at 6 p.m. Sesser-Valier is the next highest seed and will play against Carlyle on February 6 at 7:30 p.m. The Regional Championship game will take place at February 8 at 7 p.m.
The winner of the Nashville Regional will move on to the McLeansboro (Hamilton County) Sectional.
