McFeron Honored For Being Named All-State

Mackenzie McFeron was honored for being named First-Team All-State in Softball last season. McFeron batted leadoff for the Hornettes last season, and will be attending the University of Evansville to play softball after graduation. McFeron is pictured with former NCHS Softball coach Dempsey Witte.

As Hornettes senior Mackenzie McFeron gets ready for her senior season on the diamond, McFeron was honored this past week for being named All-State in softball during the 2017 season.
McFeron led Nashville in a plethora of offensive categories and helped lead the Hornettes to a Regional Championship last season.
McFeron started every game for Nashville last season at shortstop and batted at the top of the order for the Hornettes.
McFeron led the Hornettes in plate appearances, at bats, hits, singles, triples, runs scored, batting average, on base percentage, OPS, stolen bases, and total bases.  McFeron was also second in slugging percentage.
McFeron racked up 75 hits last season, 65 of which were singles. McFeron didn’t stay put on the base paths as she stole 62 bases on the year. McFeron crossed the plate 62 times last season, 27 more times than any other player on the team.
McFeron has signed to play college softball at the University of Evansville.
