Stingers Finish Third At IDTA State
The NCHS Stingers finished their season by heading up to Springfield, IL to compete at Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA) State with 110 other teams. Their weekend started with senior soloist Emma Vogt competing Friday night at the Bank of Springfield Center in the solo category. 55 individuals competed Friday night, with Emma Vogt placing 7th in her round. Saturday the Stingers competed at the Bank of Springfield Center in the Single A Lyrical and Pom Dance category. After a long day the NCHS Stingers earned 3rd place in the Single A Lyrical category! The Stingers have six seniors: Lauren Brink, Josie Middleton, Madisyn Riechmann, Meritt Rittenhouse, Savanna Staley, Emma Vogt, two sophmores: Madison Schuette, Elise Spencer, and three freshmen: Ana Fernandez, Amy Hicks, and Allison Melton. The Stingers are coached by Carly Middleton and Alyssa Lohmann.
