What Washington County real estate owners need to know is that every year you must complete an application for the exemptions you qualify for.
Once you have applied the first time and are granted the exemption or exemptions, you should get them every year, but only if you continue to apply for them.
The Assessor’s Office mails these exemption forms to you yearly. Certain circumstances may disqualify your eligibility in the future for these exemptions.
If you are already signed up, and do not receive your renewal forms in the next couple of weeks, please contact the Supervisor of Assessments by coming in or calling 618-327-4800 ext. 325.
The Washington County Assessor’s Office is located on the second floor of the Washington County Courthouse. The Courthouse is located at 101 E. St. Louis St., Nashville, IL. 62263.
