Minta A. Ellerbusch
Mrs. Minta Ellerbusch of Okawville, departed this life at her residence on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:40 A.M. She had attained the age of 89 years, 6 months and 14 days.
Minta was born in Okawville on August 6, 1928 the daughter of Fred and Della (nee Mode) Buescher. She was a 1946 graduate of Okawville High School. She was united in marriage to Vernon Ellerbusch on April 10, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2007.
Minta dearly loved animals and along with her husband, owned and operated the Pet Mart in Centralia, from 1972 until 1992. She was a faithful member of the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in rural Okawville
Left to mourn her passing is her two sons, Alan Ellerbusch and wife Lois of Mt. Vernon and John Ellerbusch and wife Victoria of Okawville; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel Niemann of St. Louis and Della Finke of Centralia; a sister-in-law, Carmen Buescher of Nashville; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Howard in infancy; a brother, Oliver “Bud” Buescher; three sisters, Ethel Horne and her husband George, Isabel Cole and her husband Kenneth and Shirley Austen; two brothers-in-law; her father and mother-in-law,; two sisters-in-law; and a great grandson.
Funeral services will be held from the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in rural Okawville on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 1 P.M. with Pastor Roger Drinnon officiating. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Okawville.
Friends may call at the Olive Branch Lutheran Church on Friday from 11 A.M. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Lutheran Church or to the Centralia House of Hope Animal Shelter and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
