St. Ann 8th Grade Tournament

The Nashville Middle School Jr. Hornettes volleyball team brought home the consolation championship at the St. Ann 8th Grade Tournament. The St. Ann 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament took place this past Saturday on February 17. St. Bruno took first place. St. Ann finished second. Valmeyer finished third. TSJ finished fourth, and Nashville Middle School won the Consolation bracket.
The teams were divided into two pools. St. Ann, Nashville Middle School, Valmeyer, and Opdyke Belle Rive were in one pool, while TSJ, Okawville, St. Bruno, and Marissa in another.
Pool Play Scores: St. Ann over NMS 25-20,25-21; Valmeyer over OBR 25-9,25-13; St. Ann over OBR 25-13, 25-22; Valmeyer over NMS 25-22, 25-16; NMS over OBR 25-14, 25-20; St. Ann over Valmeyer 25-19, 25-21; TSJ over Okawville 25-19, 26-24; St. Bruno over Marissa 25-15, 25-8; Split Marissa (25-20)/ Okawville (25-23); St. Bruno over TSJ 25-12,25-13; TSJ over Marissa 25-17, 25-13; St. Bruno over Okawville 25-11,25-21.
St. Ann won Pool A, while St. Bruno won Pool B. In the next round, St. Ann defeated TSJ, who finished second in Pool B, 25-18,25-22. St. Bruno defeated Valmeyer, who finished second in Pool A 25-23,25-15. NMS who finished third in Pool A defeated Okawville who finished fourth in Pool B 25-18,25-20. Hailey Baugh finished with three aces and two kills while Daci Finke finished with three aces and three kills. Daphne Kollbuam also nothced three kills. OBR, who finished third in Pool B, defeated Marissa who finished fourth in Pool A 25-19,22-25,15-10.
Marissa defeated Okawville 25-22, 25-20 in the seventh place match.
Nashville Middle School defeated Opdyke Belle Rive 25-12, 25-22 in the Consolation Championship. Jordan Donato and Addison Povolish each finished with four kills in the win. Emme Paszkiewicz finished with three aces, three kills, and one block for Nashville.
Valmeyer brought home third place with a 25-17, 27-25 win over TSJ.
St. Bruno defeated St. Ann in the Championship 14-25, 25-14, 15-10.
