Okawville High School Places First In Academic Challenge Competition

The Annual Academic Challenge was held at Kaskaskia College on February 8.
Fifteen district high schools were in competition in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Math, and Physics. The Okawville Team finished first in the small school competition.
Individual students from Okawville who won awards were:
Biology – Russell Rodeley, 1st place; Kole Jackson, tie for 2nd place; Kathryn Lohman, tie for 2nd place
Chemistry – Russell Rodeley, 1st place; Kathryn Lohman, 2nd place; Audrey Jansen, 3rd place
Math – Payton Riechmann, 1st place
Physics – Audrey Jansen, 1st place
Student Russell Rodley received a scholarship for high test scores.
