NCHS Student Gallery “Portrait Of A Girl” By Mikala Kozuszek

This week, the NCHS Student Gallery features this piece, “Portrait of a Girl”, an 18X24 inch watercolor painting by Senior and Art III student Mikala Kozuszek.
Kozuszek stated that this portrait was made with a mind towards improving her painting skills with watercolors.
“I enjoy drawing and painting portraits. I like capturing the emotions on the person’s face as I draw them,” Kozuszek wrote. “For this painting, I wanted to create a cool color scheme with the different colors of blue and gray. I wanted the blue and gray tones to match her emotions.”
