This Week’s Shelter Dog – March 14, 2018

“Venus”

This week’s shelter dog is this two-year-old female mix breed.
Dolly with the Partners for Pets says, “She is a pretty strong dog, so she may need someone that can hang onto her when she is walked.” That strength has us giving her the suggested name of Venus.
If you want to take this girl home though, you can give her whatever name you would like. She may be seen at the animal shelter.
Other dogs available for adoption include Leroy, a three-year-old neutered male redtic coonhound, Atlas, a one-year-old male rott mix, Penny, a two-year-old female pit/hound mix, and Taz, a one year old neutered male boxer mix.
There is also one cat available for adoption at this time.
The dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an AVID identification chip. In addition, each new owner will receive a certificate for $50 off of spaying or neutering.
All animals can be seen (including new arrivals) on the Washington County Animal Control Facebook page located www.facebook.com/Washington-County-IL-Animal-Control-1457124404361161/
