Bernice M. Bochantin

Mrs. Bernice M. Bochantin of Ashley, departed this life at the Fireside House of Centralia, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 9:13 PM. She had attained the age 85 years, 6 months and 16 days.
Bernice was born on August 25, 1932 at DuBois, the daughter of Frank and Maggie (nee Pijut) Chlebowski. She was united in marriage to Emil Sonnek on October 24, 1964 and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1979. She later married Nicholas L. Bochantin on December 14, 1990 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2017.
Bernice worked at the Day and Night Café, Rich and Gladys’, the Candy Factory, Rockwell and Elaine’s Dress Shop. She also worked in Quality Control at Universal Packaging 23 until her retirement in 1997. Bernice was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom.
Left to mourn her passing are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, second husband, three brothers, Clarence, Raymond and Daniel Chlebowski and two sisters, Gertrude Chesnek and Christine Polczynski.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10 AM with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating. Per the wishes of Bernice and her family, cremation will be performed after the funeral service. Burial of Ashes will be held at a later date in the St. Michael Cemetery in Radom.
Friends may call at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Monday from 8 AM until the service hour.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be to the St. Michael Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, whom is assisting the family with arrangements.
