Mary Griebel

Mary Elizabeth Griebel, 89, of Lenzburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Coulterville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
She was born on August 30, 1928 in Sparta, the daughter of the late Lyman and Rosa (Hall) Thompson. Mary and Ralph Griebel were united in marriage on April 14, 1973 in Milstadt. He survives. Mary was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ralph Griebel of Lenzburg; one son, Phillip Biermann of Belleville; one step-daughter, Renda Rabe of Coulterville; one step-son, Kevan (Carol) Griebel of Lenzburg; six grandchildren, Terica (Andy) English, Kyle (Sarah) Biermann, Erin (Jonah) Griebel, Jenny (Matt) Kaiser, Jim (Leslie) Rabe, and JoAnn (Josh) Smith; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Janel Rabe, step-son-in-law Ralph Rabe, four brothers, three sisters, and two half-brothers
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at McDaniel and Lee Family Funeral Home in Sparta.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the Funeral Home
Interment will be at Caledonia Cemetery
Memorials may be given to the Coulterville Holiday Christmas Lights
