“Christ In The Passover” At St. John’s, New Minden, March 27

Jesus’ Last Supper was actually a Jewish Passover. David Garrett of Jews for Jesus will re-create the traditional Passover service and explain how it foreshadowed Jesus’ death and resurrection in a presentation called “Christ in the Passover” at St. John’s Lutheran Church, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Church, just north of the four-way stop in New Minden.
There is no admission charge and the public is invited.
David will set a table with items traditionally used at the Passover meal and detail their spiritual significance. He will also explain the connection between the events of the first Passover in Egypt and the redemption that Jesus accomplished, as well as the deep bond between the ancient Passover feast and the Christian communion celebration today.

David “Moose” Garrett and his wife, Kathleen, have been involved with Jews for Jesus since 1975 and have served on staff since 1981.
David, a graduate of Concordia University, Chicago, and a member of a West Portal Lutheran Church (LCMS) in San Francisco, oversees Children and Youth Ministry at the Jews for Jesus international headquarters there.  Kathleen keeps in touch with Jews for Jesus supporters by thanking and praying with them.
Jews for Jesus has presented “Christ in the Passover” at over 38,000 churches. It has been enthusiastically received by Christians who appreciate learning more about the Jewish backgrounds of their faith.
David Garrett will be happy to answer questions after the presentation. For more details about the event, call St. John’s Pastor Tim Mueller at (618) 314-3972.
