Deloris “Dee” C. White
Deloris “Dee” C. White of Nashville, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital-Extended Care in Nashville on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:50 AM. She had attained the age of 79 years, 1 month and 15 days.
Mrs. White was born on February 7, 1939 in Pocahontas County, Iowa, the daughter of Swan and Doris (nee Olson) Berglund. She was united in marriage to Arlen C. White in February of 1958 in Chicago, and he preceded her in death on January 26, 2016.
Dee worked as a social worker for BCMW for 25 years, until her retirement. Dee enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling and she loved spending time with her family.
Left to mourn her passing is her four children, Dean White and wife Linda of Wichita, Kan., Teresa Miller and Carl Peterson of St. Peters, Mo., Cissy Patton and husband Paul of Oakdale, and Dr. Steve White and wife Koren of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren, Andrea Clark of Lawrence, Kan., Sydney White of Wichita, Kan., Andy Miller and wife Samantha of St. Charles, Mo., Nick Miller of Nashville, Tenn., Laci Jankowski and husband Christopher of Nashville, Blake Patton and girlfriend Ericka Harre of Oakdale, Lexi Patton and fiancé 1st Lt. Andrew Biermann of Nashville, and Alison White of Omaha, Neb.; seven great grandchildren, Millie, Patrick, Brewer, Sloan, Easton, Eli and Aliviah; sister, Linda DeLamarter and husband Philip of Dripping Springs, Texas; sister-in-law, Bonnie Berglund of Ely, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Charles Berglund.
Per the wishes of Dee and her family, cremation was performed. There will be a burial of ashes held at a later date.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Jeanenne Thompson Walk With the Dogs and the Washington County Partners for Pets and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
