Hornettes Finish Third At Chester Fresh/Soph Invitational

The Hornettes freshmen and sophomore track teams were finally back on the track this past week as they finished third at the Freshmen/Sophomore Chester Relay. Freeburg finished first with 120 points, followed by DuQuoin with 113 points. The Hornettes finished with 105 points. Pinckneyville finished fourth, followed by Anna-Jonesboro, Chester, Sparta, and New Athens.
Nashville finished with three first place finishes at the event. Schnitker finished first in the triple jump with a jump of 35’3 which broke the NCHS school record, which she set last season.
The 4X800M relay team of Raqui Elliott, Delaney Varel, Kiley Heidel, and Sabrina Kollbaum crossed the line in first place, along with the 4X100M relay team of Destyn Hausner, Varel, Heidel, and Kollbaum.
