Jr. Hornettes Finish Second At Conference Meet

The Nashville Jr. Hornettes track team finished second at the JSWEC meet on April 20. The Jr. Hornettes finished in second place with 114 points. DuQuoin won the meet with 128 points. Murphysboro finished third. Lincoln (Sparta) finished fourth, Pinckneyville finished fifth, and Chester finished sixth.
Nashville finished with five first place finishes. Hailey Baugh finished first in the 800M Run with a time of 2:40.92. Shelby Thorson won the 7th Grade 100M Dash with a time of 13.7 seconds. Daci Finke won the 1600M Run with a time of 6:18.09. Jill Kuhl won the Discus with a throw of 75’1”. Hope Liszewski won the Long Jump with a jump of 13’11.5”.
Nashville had three second place finishes. Faith Frerker finished second in the Discus. Finke finished second in the 800M Run. Thorson finished second in the 200M Dash.
Baugh finished third in the 400M Dash and the High Jump. Finke finished third in the Long Jump. The final third place finish came from the team of Baylie Newman, Korbi Rhine, Finke, and Baugh in the 4X400M Relay.
