Mrs. Juanita Mae Kobus of Nashville, departed this life at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 1:30 AM. She had attained the age of 84 years, 1 month and 18 days.
Juanita was born on March 18, 1934 in Pinckneyville, the daughter of Theodore and Elsie Kuhl. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Kobus, Sr. on November 18, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2007.
Juanita raised five children, worked, and went to school to become a nurse. She graduated as an RN from Rend Lake College in 1985. Juanita worked as a dedicated nurse for 40 years and she was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville.
Juanita is survived by three children, Susan Boosinger, Judy Kobus and Danny Kobus and wife Malinda all of Nashville; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Helen Hutchings; two brothers, Elmer and Norman Kuhl; her son, Lawrence Kobus, Jr. and her daughter, Marilyn Johnson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 10 AM with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Wednesday from 8:30 AM until 9:45 AM.
In lieu of flowers, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Heart Association and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
