Alrene Brammeier

Mrs. Alrene Emma Brammeier of rural Okawville, departed this life at her residence on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 6:20 A.M. with her loving husband, Edmond by her side. She had attained the age of 85 years, 11 months and 12 days.
Alrene was born in Okawville Twp., Washington County, on June 7, 1932 the daughter of Walter and Emma (nee Going) Rennegarbe. She was united in marriage to Edmond Brammeier in the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in rural Okawville on June 26, 1955 and he survives her passing.
Alrene was baptized, confirmed and married by Rev. John Heseman at Olive Branch Lutheran Church. She was a devoted member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville. She dedicated many Fourth of Julys to baking pies and serving for the A.A.L. She worked as a “zipper girl” at the Mascoutah dress factory before she married. After she married, Alrene and Edmond were partners on the dairy farm and in life. She enjoyed baking and gardening, as well as making quilts and sewing for her children and grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Edmond of Okawville; four children, Sharon Haege of Nashville, Steve Brammeier and wife Diann of Okawville, Sandra Hackstadt and husband Hadley of Nashville, and Stanley Brammeier and wife Janet of Okawville; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, Bradley Haege and wife Julia and their daughter Madison, Daniel Haege and wife Emmalee and their daughters Milly and Hannah, Tyler Brammeier and special friend Sara Small, Alyssa Brammeier, Krissy Schneider and husband Jonathan and their children Hudson and Annley, Brett Hackstadt and wife Morganne and their children Parklyn and Gatlin, Brittany Forgey and husband Evan and their children Paisley and Quinton, Brandon Brammeier and wife Shannon, and Ashlyn Mantia and husband Tony; three sisters-in-law, Corinne Rennegarbe, Doris Brammeier and Julia Karmeier and husband Ralph; two brothers-in-law, Carl Brammeier and wife Louise and William Kleiboeker; several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arvie Rennegarbe and LoVern Rennegarbe and his wife Betty; sisters-in-law, Eileen Kleiboeker and Bernice Zimmermann and her husband Wilbert; brother-in-law, Delbert Brammeier; and a son-in-law, Aaron Haege.
Funeral services will be held from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10 A.M. with Pastor Eric Wood officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Wednesday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Thursday from 7:30 A.M. until 8 A.M., thereafter at the church on Thursday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to Immanuel Lutheran Wee Care and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
