Mr. Joseph Frank Kujawa of Ashley, IL, departed this life in DuBois, IL on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He had attained the age of 72 years and 6 days.
Joseph was born on May 16, 1946 in DuBois, IL, the son of Joseph and Hattie (nee Grzechowiak) Kujawa. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Kozuszek on August 19, 1967 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Marydale, IL and she survives his passing.
Joseph worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation and was a farmer for many years. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing pinochle, playing 5 card and 7 card stud poker and he loved spending time with his family.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Mary Ann Kujawa of Ashley, IL; three children, Monica Evans and husband Wade of New Baden, IL, Eric Kujawa and wife Rebecca of Clayton, MO and Jason Kujawa and wife Brianna of Aviston, IL; seven grandchildren, Hunter, Holden and Hayden Evans, Christian and Annabelle Kujawa and Piper and Parker Kujawa; three sisters-in-law, Mary Bailey of North Hollywood, CA, Pinky Hollenkamp and husband Charlie of Carlyle, IL and Teresa Resch and husband Brian of Rome, GA; special friends, Ted and Wilma Kujawa of Ashley, IL and Georgie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Leo and Irene Kozuszek, two brothers-in-law, Richard and Charles Kozuszek and sister-in-law, Bernice Beard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 12 PM with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Michael Catholic cemetery in Radom, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Friday from 8:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the Ashley Fire Department or the St. Ann Catholic School and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
