Ladies Golf League Holds Scramble, Meeting, May 1

After a 9-hole scramble, the Nashville Ladies Golf league met at El Indio for dinner and business meeting on May 1.
Co-chair Jane opened the meeting. The secretary’s report was read. A motion was made by Gina and seconded by Barb that the report be approved as read – all agreed. The treasurer’s report was read.

Old business: Tina reported that the afternoon shift for the June 9 Ladies Tournament is already full but there are several openings for the morning shift. Sponsor letters have been sent out.
Palma reported that a bench and statue of a lady golfer will be placed on the north side of #6 ladies tee box in memory of Maude Baldwin. The money that the Ladies League donated to the course was used to remove a tree and to repair the fountain.
New business: Gina reported that the Handicap Tournament this year will be double elimination. The tournament will begin in June and run for 3 months. A sign-up sheet was passed around for those members wishing to participate.
Jane thanked the committee of Charlene, Barb, and Gina for setting up the scramble, dinner, and meeting. A motion was made by Cary and seconded by Barb that the meeting be adjourned – all agreed.
