Police Report – May 23, 2018
May 14
The Nashville Police Department responded to the 800 block of S. Moore St. for an ordinance violation.
Officers responded to the 500 block of E. Elm St. for suspicious activity.
Police responded to the 1200 block of S. Mill St. for an ordinance violation.
Officers located a semi that was losing concrete on I-64 that was reported as hitting vehicles. Police made contact with the driver, who was attempting to secure the back door of his trailer. Illinois State Police responded and handled the matter.
Police arrested Michael Voelkel, of Nashville, for Possession of a Stolen Dealer Plate.
Officers assisted the Nashville Fire Department with a tree on fire near a residence on County Highway 27.
May 15
Police responded to the 100 block of E. Third St. for a domestic disturbance.
Officers responded to the 700 block of S. Grand Ave. for ministerial alliance.
Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at the Citgo gas station. The passenger, Laura White, of Sparta, had a warrant for her arrest out of Alexander County. Laura was put into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Officers assisted Illinois State Police with a vehicle accident on I-64 at the 49 mile marker.
Police received a call from Mt. Vernon Police, regarding a subject by the name of Davon McLorn having an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police received information that Davon was at his place of work. Police went to Davon’s work and while inside the building other workers advised he was outside running. Police chased after Davon and eventually apprehended Davon and placed him under arrest for his warrant.
Officers assisted Illinois State Police with a rolling domestic that occurred on Interstate 64. Police spoke with a male subject who stated he did not want to press charges and had a friend coming to pick him up. Police gave him a ride to McDonald’s to wait for his friend.
May 16
Police responded to S. Mill St. at E. Student Dr. for a hit and run.
Officers responded to the 400 block of S. Prairie St. for a property check.
Police responded to the 400 block of S. Prairie St. for a welfare check.
Officers responded to State Route 127 and Richview Rd. for a traffic crash involving a motorcycle. A vehicle driven by Joey Bryant, of Mascoutah pulled out onto State Route 127 in front of a motorcycle driven by Ricky Pinkston, of Hoyleton. Joey did not see the motorcycle causing him to almost strike Ricky’s motorcycle. Ricky swerved to miss getting hit and laid the bike on the ground landing on his shoulder.
May 17
Police responded to the 700 block of E. Holzhauer Dr. for a 911 hang-up call.
Officers responded to the 100 block of S. Washington St. for ministerial alliance.
Police responded to the 100 block of N.E. Court St. for a parking complaint.
Officers responded to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for ministerial alliance.
Police responded to the 1500 block of S. Mill St. for an alarm.
Officers responded to the 16000 block of S. Mill St. for a 911 hang-up call.
Police responded to a one-car traffic crash on I-64 WB at the 51 mile marker. Police remained on-scene until Illinois State Police arrived to handle.
May 18
Officers responded to the 9600 block of Commerce Ave. for a theft.
Police responded to the 100 block of S. Mill St. for suspicious circumstances.
Officers responded to the 17500 block of Mockingbird Rd for vehicle damage.
Police responded to the 700 block of E. Gorman St. for found property.
May 19
Officers responded to the 700 block of S. Moore St. for lines down.
Police responded to Citgo for a gas drive-off. Police located the vehicle and determined it was an accident.
Officers responded to the park for suspicious activity.
May 20
Police responded to the 400 block of S. Prairie St. for a theft.
Officers responded to the 9600 block of St. Rt. 127 for an alarm.
Police responded to the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127 for a suspicious vehicle.
Officers responded to the 300 block of E. St. Louis St. for a domestic dispute.
Police responded to the 500 block of W. Goodner St. for an unruly subject.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of W. Jefferson Dr. for theft and unauthorized video recording.
Police responded to the 900 block of W. St. Louis St. for an elderly subject locked out of his apartment.
