Marcella Gill

Mrs. Marcella F. Gill of Ashley, departed this life at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:22 AM. She had attained the age of 86 years, 7 months and 17 days.
Mrs. Gill was born to Victor and Frances (Zakrzewski) Piasecki born on October 9, 1931 in Nashville. She was united in marriage to Raymond P. Gill on September 29, 1951 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1990.
Marcella worked at a dress factory for 25 years and was a nanny for a number of years. She also worked for Adias Adult Care until she retired at the age of 80. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, and she enjoyed sewing and she loved polka dancing.
Left to mourn her passing is her four daughters, Ann Setzekorn and husband Marion of Ashley, Kay Morgan and husband Danny of Bonnie, Connie Bolen and special friend Larry Workmen of Flora, and Laura Gill and special friend Laura Stull of Nashville; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Loraine Piasecki; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers in infancy, four brothers, Mike, Alexander, Edward and Benny Piasecki; sister, Mary Liszewski; brother-in-law, Ben Liszewski; three sisters-in-law, Martha, Marie and Irene Piasecki and a son-in-law, Jerry Edwards.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 10 AM with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Todds Mill.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Wednesday from 5 PM to 8 PM and on Thursday from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
A prayer service will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home on Wednesday at 7:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery or St. Ann School and will be received by the Campagna Funeral Home.
