Kuberski Takes Over NCHS Cheerleading Squad

By Brent Huelsmann
The NCHS Cheerleading squad has a new coach. Emily Kuberski, of Pinckneyville, was announced as the new cheerleading coach at the NCHS School Board meeting on May 21. Kuberski takes over for Roxzen Pelczynski, who resigned earlier this year.
Kuberski has a lot of cheerleading experience under her belt, as she has cheered in grade school, and at Pinckneyville High School.
Last year, Kuberski was the assistant coach at Tamaroa Grade School.
“I’m really excited to coach at the high school level”, said Kuberski when asked about taking the job in Nashville. Kuberski went on to say she is looking forward to cheering on the Hornets in basketball and football, noting the success NCHS has had over the years. It is Kuberski’s first coaching job at the high school level.
One thing is for sure, Kuberski said she would be trading in Columbia Blue for Royal Blue.
This years Cheerleading tryouts will be from June 11 to June 13. A parent meeting will be held at 5 pm on Monday June 11. Tryouts will be from 5-7 pm that same night. On June 12, tryouts will be from 10 am to 12 pm. On Wednesday June 13, tryouts will begin at 10 am. Results will be posted later that day. All tryouts will be held in the North Gym at NCHS, and all participants must have a physical on file.
