Shelter Pet – May 30, 2018
This week’s Shelter Dog is a two-year-old mix breed male. He was found along the highway by a truck driver, who took him home for few days but could not keep him due to his job.
“The dog appears to have had duct tape put around his mouth because of the hair loss,” Dolly with the Partners for Pets wrote to us. “We know he is good with cats. He is a very friendly critter.”
If you’re looking to give this friendly, cat-loving pup a better experience than he has had so far (Duct tape? Really?!?), then head over to the animal shelter and see him or any of the other animals that they have available for adoption there.
The Nashville News did not receive an updated list of dogs this week, likely because of the holiday. Those available last week were: Sam, a three-year-old male black and tan mix; BoBo, a one-and-a-half-year-old male German Shepherd mix; Bella, a three-year-old female lab mix; Jake, a two-year-old male St. Bernard-Coonhound mix; Scooby, a five-month-old male Boston Terrier mix; Scrappy, a five-month-old male Boston Terrier mix; Pete, a nine-month-old male pit; and Layla, a five-month-old Pyrenees-lab mix
Cats are in and out of the shelter all the time. If you’re seeking a feline companion, call or stop by.
The shelter is located on the north side of Nashville, at 17990 Richview Rd, Nashville, IL.
The dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an AVID identification chip. In addition, each new owner will receive a certificate for $50 off of spaying or neutering.
