Shelter Pet – June 6, 2018

“Flop”

This week’s shelter dog is a male border collie mix, two-to-three years old. He is a people and cat friendly.
“He is shy and tends to “crawl” to you in the beginning,” Shelley with the Partners for Pets wrote to us. “He also “flops” over on his back frequently for a belly rub, thus the picture this week.” And with that, we’ll go ahead and nickname him “Flop”, just like the Collie from the “Cowboy Sam and Shorty” book I’ve been reading to my toddler (and thanks for that to The Friends of the Library for holding their spring book sale!).
We have not received an updated list of animals at the Shelter. Please call or stop by to check what other animals are available, or view the Partners for Pets Facebook page, listed below.
Cats are in and out of the shelter all the time. If you’re seeking a feline companion, call or stop by.
The shelter is located on the north side of Nashville, at 17990 Richview Rd, Nashville, IL.
The dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an AVID identification chip. In addition, each new owner will receive a certificate for $50 off of spaying or neutering.
Visit the Partners for Pets on Facebook at www.facebook.com/nashvilleilpound and see all the animals at the shelter.
