“These youth care enough about their community to get out and work to improve it, and learn something of its past,” says American Legion member Phil Jones, who organized the event.
Legionnaire Rollan Schnitker placed display flags at the Hoyleton Hoffman Road intersection.
Legionnaire Narvel Slone and Pat Schwengels placed marker flags in Hoyleton North Prairie and Zion North Prairie Cemeteries, all to help remind everyone of the sacrifice veterans from as far back as the Civil War have made to keep America free.
