Woodrome And Parker Named All-South

Two members of the Nashville Hornets baseball team were named All-South by the Southern Illinois Coaches Association. The two Hornets were Carson Parker and Jacob Woodrome. The Hornets baseball team finished the season with a 30-7 record, won a share of the Southern Illinois River to River Conference Mississippi Division, and won a Regional Championship this season.
Woodrome was a leader on the mound and at the plate this season for the Hornets. Woodrome appeared in all 37 games for the Hornets this season. Woodrome finished with a .430 batting average, and a .507 on base percentage this season. Woodrome led the Hornets with 49 hits and 35 singles this season. Woodrome tied for the team-lead with 11 doubles. Woodrome also led the Hornets with an incredible .453 average with runners in scoring position this season. On the mound, Woodrome led the Hornets in innings pitched, wins, games started, and strikeouts. Woodrome finished with a 7-2 record on the mound this season.
Parker batted towards the top of the lineup as the Hornets starting shortstop this season. Parker led the Hornets in plate appearances, at bats, and triples this season. Parker batted .362 on the season. Parker was second on the team with 46 hits this season, and was third on the team with 33 singles. Parker doubled 10 times this season.
